This position assists in the operation and general maintenance of computer and communication equipment required to maintain sound operational functionality. Additionally, this position assists in monitoring assigned material handling systems and equipment, such as conveyor sortation systems and print and apply system, to ensure optimal systems performance.
Install, configure and maintain computer workstations, printers, scanners nd other related equipment and devices assigned. Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot system equipment issues. Resolve programming problems, lockups, password problems and electrical power outages. Troubleshoot network issues.
Assist in the monitoring and controlling of materials handling systems and equipment (i.e., sortation and print and apply systems) as assigned. Maintain optimal system operations through monitoring the functionality, preventative systems maintenance, and identification of performance issues. Troubleshoot issues.
Print and distribute system generated information and reports.
Assist with special projects or perform other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Solid understanding and knowledge of PC hardware and software.
Requires the ability to use some precision instruments.
Ability to complete physical tasks, such as pulling cables.
May require ability and license to operate scissor lifts and forklifts: related tests will be administered by facility as needed.
3-6 months of related work experience; 1 year of related experience a plus.
